You created every part of me, knitting me in my Mother's womb. For such handiwork, I praise you. Awesome this great wonder! Psalm 139:13-14

Restorative Yoga Class

Yoga is best known as a set of physical practices that include gentle stretches, breathing practices, and progressive deep relaxation. These physical practices are intended to ready the body and mind for meditation as well as for a meditative perspective on life. Practice and study of yoga help to bring about a natural balance of body and mind in which the state of health can manifest itself. Yoga itself does not create health; rather, it creates an internal environment that allows the individual to come to his own state of dynamic balance, or health. Basically, yoga teaches that a healthy person is a harmoniously integrated unit of body, mind and spirit. Therefore, good health requires a simple, natural diet, exercise in fresh air, a serene and untroubled mind.
Currently not meeting. Will meet again starting in January

Sandwich Generation

Sandwich Generation Support

Group support for individuals caring for elderly parents and or youth at the same time. Provides education and support about care-giver self care, as well as conditions experienced by the person(s) for whom they are the caregiver.

Share the Care Ministry

Share the Care is a ministry involving a group of people, made up of friends and acquaintances that will nurture both the person who is seriously ill and his or her family. Through the Parish Nurse, a group is created to actually share the care, so that no one bears the entire responsibility. The group is designed to help and will be formed around the individual and family’s specific needs. This group is made up of people who love them and want the best for them. The family and their loved one will have more quality time with the people dearest to them, because the errands, the work, and the stress will be shared by a number of people. Working closely with the person who is ill and his or her family, this group is designed to help care for the loved one and allow family members to care for themselves too. Share the Care ministry is about members being able to volunteer for what they like to do, when they are able to do it, yet at the same time empowering a healing, meaningful, and less stressful experience for all concerned.
