Prayer Shawl Ministry
The stitchers knit or crochet while praying, singing hymns, or meditating with God. They may be gifted to someone going through a stressful health-related time. The shawl is symbolic of being wrapped and comforted in God’s loving embrace as we are stitched back to wholeness.
You created every part of me, knitting me in my Mother’s womb. For such handiwork, I praise you. Awesome this great wonder! Psalm 139:13-14
Safe Child Training
This is about providing safe sanctuary at church and ending the cycle of abuse. Learn about creating a safe environment for children, recognize signs of abuse, mandated reporting, and best practices to prevent child abuse.
According to Messiah’s Safe Child policy, all persons working with children, youth, and vulnerable adults must attend a training annually. This policy includes staff and volunteers. Call the Messiah Church Office to sign up for training.
