Nurturing Youth at Messiah

At Messiah we strive to nurture youth. Our hope is to assure that our youth have authentic, available and affirming adults surrounding them during these critical years to their faith development. We understand that you cannot nurture a child and ignore his or her family. Therefore we strive to offer an array of activities for children, youth, and families both inside and outside of our church walls.

Nursery Care

The purpose of Messiah Lutheran’s Nursery Care Ministry is to provide quality childcare for children ages infant– PreK. So that the adults in their life are able to take full advantage of the many offerings at Messiah Lutheran Church while knowing that their children are being nurtured as well. The Nursery is conveniently located on the right hand-side of the hall-way as you enter the North Parking lot entrance to the Sanctuary and Mission Hall. The space consists of three adjoining classrooms which allow for age appropriate play for children ages 6 weeks—PreK. Sharing this newly renovated space with the Messiah Lighthouse Child & Family Development Center helps us to maintain a state of the art learning environment the utilizes learning centers to spark a love of learning with the children. The space is licensed for childcare by the State of Missouri.

Nursery Hours:

Wednesday Evenings: 5:30 P.M. — 8:00 P.M.

Sunday Mornings: 8:15 A.M. — 12:15 P.M.

Family Fun Nights

Each month Messiah offers a low or no cost activity for members to participate in a special activity with their family. Previous activities have included: Family Night at the Discovery Center, Family Board Game Night, Nature Center Hike, etc... Watch your church bulletin for upcoming Family Fun Night Activities.

Youth Group Activities (Youth Grades 6-12)

Jr. & Sr. High Youth participate in a variety service, devotional and fellowship activities throughout the year. Please check out this page in the upcoming weeks for a complete list of Fall Semester Youth Activities.
