Partners in Education - Holland Elementary

The Springfield Public Schools' Partners in Education is a program designed to link business and community organizations to the district. Their purpose is to enrich the educational experience and to compliment the educational process of their teachers.

In 2006 Messiah committed itself to Partners in Education. We became partners with Holland Elementary School.

Messiah’s partnership with Holland Elementary School is a good example of community participation.  In recent years, Messiah, through its endowment fund, has provided shoes for students and outdoor benches for the school.  Messiah recognizes the work and sacrifices of teachers by delivering monthly snacks and a luncheon for teacher appreciation week.  Messiah also maintains a portion of the inner courtyard with a quiet reading bench and native plants.  Holland students have in past years, given a Christmas program for the members of Messiah and the students in our daycare.  We treasure this relationship.
