Vicar Abbey was born in Pennsylvania but spent most of her childhood in Florida. She remains extremely close with her parents and three siblings, despite the distance between them. She graduated from University of Florida in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is currently attending Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque Iowa for her Masters of Divinity degree.
Vicar Abbey’s journey to ministry started at a young age. When she was seven, her pastor told her that she had a gift for pastoral ministry. She was in middle school, when she first expressed a calling to be a pastor. As she grew older, she began to work for her home church as an assisting minister, youth director, and confirmation teacher. These experiences increased her passion for ministry and helped her decern a pastoral career.
Vicar Abbey spends much of her free time crafting and sewing. She loves to make anything that her imagination comes up with but has a special love for seamstress work. She enjoys all things Disney and has a special love for Disney World, where her parents took her often when she was growing up. She is also a self-proclaimed Harry Potter and Star Trek nerd.
Vicar Abbey loves working with children of all ages as they learn about their faith and continue to grow into leaders of the church. She loves being there for people through their hardest moments and reminding them of God’s loving grace. She enjoys leading worship and sharing in the promise of the resurrection of Jesus each weekend at church.
